REBT for Students and Teens

REBT is an evidence-based holistic approach that can help young people manage cognitive, emotional and behavioural disturbances in sustainable ways. My experience as a Student CBT/REBT therapist and at IAPT found that the approach helped students manage emotional dysregulation that can result in self-harm. The approach was also helpful in offering behavioural strategies and managing symptoms associated with ADHD.

As an emotion-focused approach, these skills are particularly helpful in managing emotions linked with ADHD, particularly anger, anxiety and depression and in building self-esteem. At SC-Therapies, I offer a holistic approach that focuses on the "here and now" to address these challenges, including building self-esteem and assertiveness as opposed to aggressive behaviour.
